As a multi year participant in the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women NGO delegation from Canada, I am particulaly interested in this upcoming event. Much of my work at the UNCSW has been with women of a wide variety of cultures, races and countries. Canada does not always look as good as it could to some of these colleagues.
My professional work in Human Rights has sharpened my concern about the growing poverty within Canada of women and children. Political decisions in many cases have eroded the supports which should be available to all of our citizens. I am convinced that we can do better politically, socially and as a wide, inclusive community. Please count me in on your plans for Women's Worlds 2011.
